How through exploring bionic architecture to create pret-a-porter footwear collection?

This is a degree project represents 5 models of elegant woman’ s footwear collection in avanguarde style, where the main aim was to find new forms exploring bionic architecture of living shapes as a clamshell. The clamshell is living shape belongs to bionic, because this element is taken by Nature.

The structure analysis of the clamshell helped to realize that lines of the shell embrace the hard body. It looks like a skeleton, which covers a soft body. This discovery became the main idea of this collection. In fact, these lines were used like an innovative concept of two-system upper for shoes that creates volume in volume and it can be proposed for the footwear industry.

During a deep research, it was found how this idea «volume in volume» has applied in bionic architecture. «The volume in volume » is a dynamic of lines, which creates the effect of illusion of volume. When in one from one can see another form. It creates the illusion game.

Using bionic is very popular trend and it can bee seen in contemporary architectural constructions. This collection supports the idea of three-dimensional shape of the product, due to constructive- decorative elements of the shoes.
